ADA... The Way of Life... - Hindi Movie Songs - A.R.Rahman

::::INFO::::

A.R Rehman is back after a decent gap and he has not disappointed his fans. The focus is on melody and the maestro as usual has spent a lot time on improving the instrumentation and overall quality as it is evident in the final product. This album is for the typical Rehman fan and will not please the rap junkies.
Mehrbaan (A.R Rehman)
Rehman has sung this mesmerizing song. This is sure to become a major hit of 2008. The lyrics of Raqeeb Alam are equally impressive.The song starts with an impressive piano piece before Rehman gets into his groove. There is a bit of the brit group coldplay in the song.
Mehrbaan (Instrumental)
Rehman must have realized that this was the best song in the album and decided to release a Instrumental version of the song. Sanjeev Thomas impresses with his guitar skills.
Ishq Ada (Rashid Ali)
Rashid Ali is another new comer from the A.R Rehman school of music. This is a jazzy song with an impressive rhythm to it. The guitar interlude just flows through the song. Rashid Ali pleads and begs in this song with some sufi influence.
Hawa Sun Hawa (Sony Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
Another impressive melody sung by the extremely talented Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik. Naveen as usual produces magic with his flute. The song reminds me of Rehman from his “Taal” days. Alka takes the song to the next level with her haunting voice.
Gum Sum (Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
A rhythmic tabla based song. Rehman has stuck to the same magical pair of Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik) and the end result is another good song. The song is free flowing and pleasant.
Gulfisha ( Sonu Nigam , Sunidhi Chauhan and Viviane)
Sunidhi has always impressed me and this song has only proves that she is a versatile singer. This is a highly stylish song and she has fitted very well into it. Sonu is at his best as usual. The last time I remember Rehman went really wild with the orchestration was the Aiyayo song from Rangeela.
Tu Mera Hai (Chithra , Sukhwinder Singh and Naresh Iyer)
Another impressive song sung by the evergreen Chithra.Sukhwinder gives her good company. Naresh Iyer has become a standard inclusion in all Rehman albums even though he is not utilized to his fullest extent in this musical score. The song changes track and slowly transforms into a Ghazal.
Hai Dard ( Udit Narayan)
A sad song and Udit fits the bill perfectly. Pay close attention to the heavy metal piece and the Arabic interlude in the middle. This is an average song but Udit elevates the song into something much more than that with his soulful rendition.
Ishq Ada ( Parul Mishra)
Parul is another newcomer. I liked this song better than the male version . There is a sense of innocence in Parul’s voice which makes it more natural and refreshing.
Milo Wahan Wahan(Alka Yagnik and Jayachandran)
Another sad song but the sorrow is so meticulously depicted by both the music director and the singers.Jayachandran is a household name in South India but he is an unknown singer in the north . This immensely talented singer sings his heart out in an extremely controlled rendition in this highly melodramatic but melodious song which only Rehman can create.
It has been a while since I have heard an album without heavy orchestration. It is good to hear some melody songs.Rehman’s songs are bound to grow on you and this album is no exception.

Mankatha songs - yuvan shankar raja

::::INFO::::

The title song is scintillating; the fact that the catchy Mankatha hook is used sparingly while the rest of the song builds around it displays a Rahman’ish maturity in Yuvan’s music! Nee naan is almost Ilayaraja in its nuanced tune; and SPB Charan should sing a lot more. Vaada Bin Laada‘s absurd lyrics are compensated with that exotic Dharmavathi-based tune and some trippy orchestration, while Machi open the bottle is a hopeless attempt to repeat Saroja samaan nikaalo. Nanbane’s soporific tune and the trite Balle lakka don’t cut much ice, however. Makatha is a curiously interesting mixed bag from Yuvan.

Mudhal Idam - Mp3 - Tamil movie

::::INFO::::

                    Muthal Idam (Music) – D.Imman
That simplistic, soulful melody in Inga vaanthey is beautifully timed for its catchy rhythm. Aiythaaney goes many levels further; really affecting folk’ish tune imaginative orchestrated. Vijay Yesudas’ Thindaduren too is a haunting listen; that ‘Adi paarvai’ hook works brilliantly! The title song‘s harmony is impressive but as a song, it doesn’t register, while Pappara pappara is a fairly competent modern-kuthu item number. But it is Uyya uyya that rocks the soundtrack! Incredibly catchy techno-folk that brings back memories of Ilayaraja! Imman seems to have learnt a lesson or two after Mynaa; Muthal Idam is a very impressive and fitting follow-up!

127 Hours - A.R.Rahman Hits - English

::::INFO::::

Composer: A.R. Rahman
Label: Interscope
Grade: A
When it comes to grooving filmmakers, Danny Boyle just might be the most creative D.J.-cum-director of them all. Cutting his movies to the fierce energy, and hallucinatory rhythms of a rave with particularly good drugs, Boyle’s best, confrontational imagery has pulsated with often-improbable mix tapes of score and songs, creating any number of memorably crazy scenes. Scottish addicts did screwball crimes to Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life” in Trainspotting, the religious strains of “Ave Maria” gave way to the rabid zombie guitar run of John Murphy’s score to 28 Weeks Later before that composer teamed with the electro group Orbital for the space journey of Sunshine. But none of Boyle’s color-saturated mash-ups have been more Best Picture popular than when teamed with the worldbeat of A.R. Rahman’s exotic pop riffs in Slumdog Millionaire, a film that culminated with a train station gyrating to “Jai Ho.” It was all part and parcel of what made composer walk of out last year’s Oscar ceremonies with twin wins for Best Score and Original Song, not to mention an international hit song.

Whether it’s been punks, rage-filled zombies or Indian kids, Boyle has always used music to keep his characters on their feet, a sense of motion that can become dizzying. But what happens for a risk-taking director when he takes the biggest gamble of all with a composer who’s never done an “American” score? The result is a movie about a guy who’s stuck at the bottom of a desert canyon with a boulder pinning his arm, trying to figure a way out of the inevitable for 127 Hours. Here Boyle’s musical choices alternately taunt and haunt Aron Ralston, mesmerizing tones that lead towards the only grisly, and existence-affirming choice that’s possible. But where anyone else might make the better part of the film’s 90 minutes tick by with dull dread, we aren’t talking about Danny Boyle, let alone A.R. Rahman. Both make a claustrophobic chamber piece as vibrant, and emotionally impactful as life itself, listening to the big picture of one man’s struggle with exhilarating, and moving results.

Needless to say, the marketing challenge of 127 Hours is selling a film this isn’t exactly the kind of ultimately, toe-tapping feel good time that Boyle and Rahman’s last collaboration became (let alone dealing with the unspoken freakshow attraction of going to see the severance of an entirely different body part). Yet like Slumdog, 127 Hours also has a hero who goes through unbelievable adversity before coming out on top. It’s a journey of desert and transfiguration that Boyle communicates with typical kinetic abandon, while allowing Rahman to go into unfamiliar melodic passageways.

Though the composer has never quite done a score like this, it would be a huge mistake to think of Rahman as a musician only good for handling “Indian” soundtracks. For the dozens of scores he’s composed for his equally prolific native cinema, Rahman’s also given contemporary flair to such pictures as the battle-ready England of Elizabeth The Golden Age and the Chinese action of Warriors of Heaven and Earth. So it isn’t too much of a stretch to throw him into the recesses of a California canyon to see what he digs out of it.

At first, Rahman views the desert landscape with a solemn, lush string beauty befitting Aaron Copland’s Americana in “The Canyon.” But that’s just about the only old-school feel to his score, as “Liberation Begins” introduces a suspenseful, acoustical theme that will build with an orchestra in “Liberation is a Dream.” Then with “Liberation,” Rahman goes for the big, climactic build with surging guitars and heroic strings. It’s a sound right in tune with the kind of accelerating chases that John Murphy did for Boyle’s 28 Weeks Later and Sunshine, movie-trailer ready music with a big finish that’s an essential part of Boyle’s tastes.

But if 127 Hours shows that Rahman could just as easily play rampaging ghouls, the score also shows his dexterity as conjuring the kind of meditative desert vibe that Pink Floyd gave to Michaelangelo Antonioni’s far more sedate (if no less hallucinogenic) Zabriske Point. A guitar and bubbling samples give Aron a poignant “Touch of the Sun,” with child-like bells and voices literally bringing out his inner child. The gongs and shouts of “Acid Darbari” mix an exotic Spaghetti Western feel with flutes and strings befitting Rahman’s ethnicity, while a percussive, Peter Gabriel Last Temptation of Christ approach infuses “R.I.P.” Wordless moaning voices wash over Aron at the pit of canyon despair. Yet the cue also gives him a beatific sense of acceptance before the tribal rhythm is unexpectedly joined by propulsive symphonic action for a neat twist of the cue’s head trip.

As always, songs are just as essential to Boyle in his telling of the story. And the tunes of 127 Hours are chosen with his usual brilliance, here always contrasting spiritual drama with sometimes jokey irony. Aron’s adrenalin junkie attitude is conveyed with the rave tribal beat of Free Blood’s “Never Hear Surf Music Again,” a song that tell us of the danger-seeking chemicals in our brains. It also rings Boyle’s brilliant visuals as captures the split-screen energy of Aron’s canyon prep with the rat race around him. Then as Aron is watching the last of his water disappear, Boyle mercilessly brings in his dreamy desperation for a drink with Bill Wither’s jolly “Lovely Day.” Similar wish-I-was-anywhere-but-here irony jams Aron into a throng of female bodies in the French bubblegum rock of Plastic Bertrand’s “Ca Plane Pour Moi.” A lovely jazz resignation is heard in Esther Phillips’ “”I You Love Me (Really Love Me”) which the horizon above Aron with such lyrics as “Should I catch a shooting star, should I bring it where you are?” Even the lilting piano of Chopin’s “Nocturne No. 2 in E Flat” is in the desert to genuflect with Aron.

127 Hours is perhaps at its most musically remarkable when Aron makes the only decision possible to free himself. And Boyle’s climactic musical builds hit their height with Sigur Ros’ “Festival.” The Icelandic band has been used to convey a beautiful, mourning quality to such soundtracks as Vanilla Sky and The Life Aquatic. But here it’s all about fighting for life itself, its soaring voice and religioso organ segueing into triumphant rock percussion as Aron moves toward the light. It’s ten minutes of pure transcendence, carrying an emotional wallop that truly takes 127 Hours from nature survival flick to tear-inducing Oscar time. The final grace note is provided by Rahman and Dido’s “If I Rise,” which brings a delicately affecting optimism that life goes on, let alone showing how Aron can return to his old one with a new understanding. Sure the children’s chorus here might not be “Jai Ho.” But then again, Danny Boyle and A.R. Rahman are going for a far more interior moment of transcendence, one that tells us the often-awful fight for life is more than worth it- especially in this haunting fever dream that take a filmmaker and musician to new heights while pondering their way out of a man’s darkest hours.

Deiva Thirumagal - Mp3

::::INFO::::

Banner: Sree Rajakaliamman Medias, Mohan Natrajan
Producer: M Chinthamani
Director: Vijay
Star-casts: Vikram, Anushka, Amala Paul, Nasser, Santhanam…
Music Director: GV Prakash
Lyrics: Na Muthukumar

The audio launch of ‘Deiva Thirumagan’ was held before few hours herein Chennai and we bring you the first music review of this film.
1. Kadha Solla Poraen
Vocals: Chiyaan Vikram, Shringa S
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

It’s almost like a conversational song that takes place between a father and daughter as the dad wants to narrate a story to his sweet daughter. For those, who were very familiar with Vikram’s macho voice in ‘Kanthaswamy’, it’s gonna be a different experience here. He has carved a niche by crooning it differently. The song will have Vikram appearing in different get-ups like an Emperor, King and Superman.
2. Vizhigalil Oru Vanavil
Vocals: Saindhavi
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

G.V. Prakash’s sweetheart Saindhavi has rendered the song beautifully. It’s a very melodic number with some visual treat of Nirav Shah… Her voice just leaves us mesmerized. The song is pictured on Vikram and Anushka.
3. Pa…Pa..Pa
Vocals: Chiyaan Vikram
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

Again, it’s Vikram rocking to the core by shifting his paradigms. The song is about a father’s happiness of his baby to born soon. He gets ready to buy the goodies and special gifts for his wife and baby. There are so many dialogues in this song that will bring some characters together. The song will be a tremendous hit once the visuals are released.
4. Vennilave
Vocals: G.V. Prakash
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

It’s one of the best songs in this album. In the recent times, G.V. Prakash has been taking up more chances of crooning the song at different styles. ‘Vennilave’ will be surely one of the finest feathers on his caps. The song has mild instrumentals on strings, bass guitar, rhythm box and lead guitar. It’s a beautiful number that will make us fall in love with for the first time itself.
5. Jagada Thom
Vocals: S.P. Balasubramaniam, Maya, Rajesh
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

The song starts off with a solo violin with a well orchestrated record session followed by S.P. Balasubramaniam. The song will appear during the crucial point of the film and will surely attract the audiences. Maya and Rajesh have done a good job. Much alike the previous numbers, the song has more works on guitars. Na. Muthukumar’s lyrics deserves special mention for the inspiring lyrics.
6. Aarariro
Vocals: Haricharan, Chorus
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

Can be regarded as the best song in Haricharan’s career. The singer awes us with his mind-boggling performance while the musical accompaniment on strings and pianos are tremendous. The song sounds like happening during a crucial point of this film where the father has to become a mother for his child.
7. Life is Beautiful
Theme Music

A spellbinding composition by G.V. Prakash with the use of strings, Violins and whistle with the same tune repeated over and again…
On the whole, ‘Deiva Thirumagan’ stands out as yet another best composition from G.V. Prakash and the songs are likely to capture everyone’s interest as we keep hearing it repeatedly.

Right from Day 1, the film started rolling on floors; it has been a never-ending mania of ‘Mankatha’ in towns. The fans have been curiously awaiting the release of the film on May 1, 2011, which turned out to be a major disappointment. Later it was announced that the makers will be releasing the audio on the same day. However, the chain of disappointments ended there as Venkat Prabhu aired the first teaser on the birthday of Thala following which he made it clear the single-track album will be out on May 20.
At last, the audio CDs have arrived in stores with some additional special features like some Yuvan Shankar Raja hits and a poster signed by Ajith Kumar himself.
Vilayaadu Mankatha
Singers: Anitha, Premgi Amaren, Ranjith, Suchitra, Yuvan Shankar Raja and others
Lyrics: Gangai Amaran, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Suchitra

Just look at the song and you’ll realize how special it’s gonna be. The track as known from the teaser is a club song and has an ensemble of singers – Anitha, Premji Amaran, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sucharita and others crooning the numbers. Yuvan always follows the pattern of brining in more singers for the albums involving his cousin brother Venkat Prabhu. Moreover, it’s always a family song as it involves more members like Gangai Amaran, Venkat Prabhu and Premji Amaran. The song is medium paced and sounds perfect, but with the visuals, it will reach bigger places. The lyrics are okay and the beats are thundering. For sure, it’s a big treat for the ‘Thala’ fans.

Verdict: Power-cool performance by Yuvan & Co…
